Connecting your Xprinter thermal receipt printer to a Wi-Fi network is a fantastic way to increase its flexibility. If you’re wondering how to connect the Xprinter C2008 to WiFi, this connection eliminates the need for a dedicated USB cable. This wireless setup allows you to place the printer anywhere within your wireless network’s range.
It is ideal for point-of-sale systems in retail stores, restaurants, or other business environments. While the process involves a few steps to ensure the printer communicates correctly with your network, it is generally straightforward. This guide will walk you through the prerequisites. It will also provide a step-by-step process to get your Xprinter connected to your Wi-Fi network reliably.
Steps to Connect Xprinter to Wi-Fi
Important Note: The Xprinter C2008 and similar models have a typical connection process. (Like the popular C58), They first connect to Wi-Fi using a wired Ethernet cable for configuration. You will need this cable for the initial setup.
Prerequisites:
- Your Xprinter printer (C2008, C58, etc.).
- A wireless router with an available Ethernet port.
- An Ethernet cable (usually provided with the printer or router).
- A Windows computer (for using the configuration software).
- The Xprinter Network Configuration Utility software. This is crucial. You must download it from the official Xprinter website or your supplier’s site. Search for “Xprinter Network Configuration Tool” or your specific model’s utility.
Step-by-Step Guide:
- Connect via Ethernet Cable:
- Power on your Xprinter printer.
- Take your Ethernet cable and connect one end to the Ethernet port on the back of the printer.
- Connect the other end to an available LAN port on your wireless router. This temporary wired connection is necessary to find the printer’s IP address and configure its Wi-Fi settings.
- Find the Printer’s IP Address (Two Methods):
- Method A: Print a Self-Test Page (Recommended):
- On the printer, hold down the FEED button while powering it on. Continue holding the button until the printer starts printing a configuration page.
- This page will contain all the printer’s current settings. Look for a section labeled “IP Address,” “IPv4,” or “Ethernet.” It will display a number like
192.168.1.150. Write this number down.
- Method B: Use Your Router’s Admin Panel:
- Log in to your wireless router’s administration interface (usually by typing
192.168.1.1or192.168.0.1into a web browser. - Look for a section like “DHCP Client List,” “Attached Devices,” or “Network Map.”
- Find your printer (it might be listed by its model number or MAC address) and note its IP address.
- Log in to your wireless router’s administration interface (usually by typing
- Method A: Print a Self-Test Page (Recommended):
- Configure the Wi-Fi Settings:
- On your Windows computer, ensure it is connected to the same Wi-Fi network you want the printer to use.
- Open the Xprinter Network Configuration Utility software you downloaded.
- In the software, there will be a field to enter the IP Address you found in Step 2. Enter it and click “Connect” or “Search.” The utility should now communicate with your printer.
- Scan and Select Your Wi-Fi Network:
- In the utility, navigate to the Wireless (Wi-Fi) section or tab.
- Click a button labeled “Scan” or “Search for SSIDs.” The tool will list all available wireless networks.
- From the list, select your Wi-Fi network name (SSID).
- Enter Your Wi-Fi Password:
- In the utility, there will be fields for authentication. The most common setting is:
- Authentication: WPA2-PSK
- Encryption: AES
- In the “Key” or “Password” field, carefully enter your Wi-Fi network’s password.
- In the utility, there will be fields for authentication. The most common setting is:
- Apply the Settings:
- Double-check that the SSID and password are correct.
- Click the “Set” or “Apply” button. The utility will send the new Wi-Fi configuration to the printer.
- Wait for a confirmation message that the settings were saved successfully.
- Disconnect the Ethernet Cable and Test:
- Safely disconnect the Ethernet cable from both the printer and the router.
- Power cycle the printer by turning it off and then back on. This allows it to boot up and attempt to connect using the new Wi-Fi settings you just configured.
- Print another self-test page (hold the FEED button while powering on). Look at the network section again. It should now show a connection to your Wireless (WLAN) network. It will display a new IP address assigned by your Wi-Fi router. Write this new IP address down.
- Add the Printer to Your Computer (Optional):
- To print from your PC, you need to add it as a network printer.
- Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners > Add device.
- Click “Add manually” and choose a TCP/IP port.
- Enter the new Wi-Fi IP address from the self-test page and proceed. You may need to install the driver (as per the previous guide) at this point.
Follow the installation via screenshots.
This way, we want to print using Wifi from your computer or laptop to the printer model Xprinter C2008. There’s no need to connect the printer’s USB to the PC. So, to know how to install it, please follow my instructions below. If you want to buy this kind of Receipt Printer that has Wifi and Bluetooth, you can visit here.
This is the Xprinter Model. Note: If it is a different printer model, it may have a different installation process.
1. Connect the Printer to your PC
First, you have to connect the USB Xprinter to your computer or laptop to install the driver for the Xprinter.
You can download one more driver and install it on your computer. After running it, please try to print a test by connecting the Xprinter to the computer. Then, install the XPrinter Driver software and configure it.
You can download the right Driver here (Xprinter Printer Software to Configure Wifi V3.6C) if you cannot download it from other sources. You can download Xprinter Driver 80 here and configure it. If this file is a zip, you should extract it yourself.
2. Install Xprinter Driver 80
To install this driver, you can follow our step-by-step guide for installing the driver here.
There are different drivers that you should select correctly for your devices. If you use macOS, select that one, but I use Windows, so I select Windows.
3. Configure Xprinter to connect to Wi-Fi
To configure Xprinter to connect to Wifi, please run the Xprinter Printer Software, configure the Wi-FiWifi V3.6C driver, and configure it as below.
Select a language that you can read to understand.
Now you can see how to configure Xprinter to connect to Wi-Fi. First, use the USB port and select XP-80. You will see your PC IP Address and the auto Printer IP Address. Change the IP Address of your printer, then click Connect.
Perform a Ping test and a Print test (Print self-test page). The IP Address that you see here on Xprinter is the DHCP IP address that you get from Xprinter. If you want to know how to check the Xprinter IP Address, Visit here.
First, ensure you can connect and perform a ping test. Once the print test is successful, unplug the USB. Then, click on Advanced and proceed to Set Net to connect to your Wifi.
At the top of the Printer, select the NET option. Enter the Wifi SSID and Password. Click Set above Contents. You will hear a sound from the Xprinter. Start printing the test from your Desktop or laptop.
Now, after we have connected to and run the printer driver. It is time to run the print test to make sure that the printer can print well.

Whether you’re running a retail store, café, or mobile service, these printers provide speed, convenience, and flexibility. With no need for ink or toner, they are cost-effective. They are also environmentally friendly. This makes them a practical choice for any operation.
Successfully connecting your Xprinter to Wi-Fi liberates it from a fixed location, offering greater flexibility for your business operations. The process requires an initial wired connection for configuration. However, the result is a wire-free setup. This setup can seamlessly integrate into your network environment. The key to success is using the official Xprinter Network Configuration Utility to accurately input your Wi-Fi credentials.
After completing these steps, verify the connection with a self-test page. Your Xprinter will then be ready to receive print jobs from any device on your wireless network. My name is Ahmet. I’m a bank staff in a Turkish bank. I’ve been looking for someone who has the same nationality as you. A citizen of your country died in the recent earthquake in Turkey, he had in our bank fixed deposit of $11.5 million.
My Bank management is yet to know of his death. If my bank executive finds out about his death ,They would use the funds for themselves and get richer and I would like to prevent that from happening only if I get your cooperation, I knew about it because I was his account manager. Last week my bank management held a meeting for the purpose of a bank audit to note the dormant and abandoned deposit accounts. I know this will happen and that’s why I’m looking for a solution to deal with this situation because if my bank discovers his death, they will divert the funds to the board of directors. I don’t want that to happen.
I request your cooperation to introduce you as the kin/heir of the account as you are of the same nationality as him. There is no risk; the transaction is carried out under a legal agreement that protects you from infringement. I suggest we split the funds, 60/40 and 40 for me. I need this fund for my daughter’s surgery so keep this info confidential. email me so i can provide you with more information. [email protected]

Hello
I hope this message finds you well. My name is Mathew, and I am a Research Assistant in the Research and Development Department one of the leading biopharmaceutical company based in London, England. I am reaching out to explore a potential partnership opportunity.
We are currently seeking a reliable business representative in your region to assist us in sourcing essential raw materials used in the production of high-quality antiviral vaccines, cancer treatments, and other life-saving pharmaceutical products. While this may be outside of your primary area of expertise, it offers a unique opportunity to diversify your business interests and generate additional income.
Our company has been actively searching for a reputable supplier but has yet to establish a direct source.
However, I have identified a local supplier who offers the necessary materials at a significantly lower cost compared to our previous purchases. This could present a mutually beneficial opportunity for both parties.
If you are interested in learning more about the profit structure and the specifics of this potential collaboration, please feel free to reach out.
I would be happy to provide additional details at your convenience.
Thank you for considering this partnership, and I look forward to your response.
