Steps to Check Total Printed Pages
- Print a Configuration Report
- Turn on the printer and ensure it is in a ready state.
- Press and hold the Cancel button. It is marked with an “X.” Hold the button down for about 30 seconds until the printer starts printing a report.
- The report will include details like the total number of pages printed, toner levels, and other printer settings. These details are crucial when learning how paper usage is tracked on the HP Laser 107A.
Check the clarity with the screenshot below:
Connect your printer to power. Hold down the Cancel button for 30 seconds. Release the button, and it will print the report.
After you release the finger, it will print the report immediately on 2 sheets of paper. Below is the Total report of printing amount 31116 of Total Information. And one more report is just the error report.
Below is the error report of the second paper
Now, I want to check the amount of paper I have used in a period. I need to print the report again. Below is the second report checking. It shows a total of 31118 impressions. It also has an error report as the first print.
Note: This means we want to check the report for the amount of paper printed. We need to know this for a week or a month for each toner. When this toner runs out of ink, how many pages of paper do we have to print?
Below is the error report. It auto-prints when printing a report like this.
Now we total the amount of paper that we have printed = 31116 – 31118 + 2 = 4 papers. So all the papers that we have printed are 4 papers. You can learn about how to Check Paper Usage on HP Color Laserjet Pro MFP m283fdw here.
